Chefchaoen/Derdara: Idyllically set in an wonderful natural environment, this accommodation lies on a quiet street, not far from Chefchaoen. The Auberge Dardara is on a huge property, next to a river and houses different buildings and animals. You can always find a place here whether you are looking for a quiet spot in the garden, sitting next to a cat in the sun or you are longing for some company, the main building with its terrace, dining room and lounge equipped with a fireplace would be the right place for you. This accommodation attaches value to nature and I enjoy being out of the Medinas and in an oasis like this. The surroundings and Rif mountains are perfect to go for a trip or a walk. The staff of the Auberge Dardara offers hikes and a lot of different workshops for handicrafts. I really like the concept as well as the garden with its artwork everywhere. These things remember me of the importance of the simplicity and preserve almost forgotten traditions. Not only the artwork and the nature but also the plainness of the cosy rooms help me of taking things a bit easier. The restaurant here serves a lot of different dishes made out of local ingredients. Guests from far away come in the evening to enjoy this delicious meals. The hustle and bustle of Chefchaouen is easy to reach and the town offers beautiful shops and markets in its small blue alleys.
